The Vh1 network announced earlier this week that they will produce a scripted TV movie about TLC .  The biopic will be the first of a series of music biopics.

Kate Lanier who penned Glitter and What’s Love Got to Do with It will also write the project.  The release date and casting for the members: Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes have not been been announced.

TLC member Chilli was moved to tears over the project,

“The reality of this brings me to tears because I am seeing one of my dreams come to life, I always felt our story had to be told” said the singer in a release.

Chilli and T-Boz will be executive producers and consultants on the project. The two aren’t strangers to TV: they starred in the 2005 reality competition “R U The Girl” and Chilli has had two seasons of VH1’s reality show “What Chilli Wants.”

The picture is expected to include millions of record sales, member conflicts, a burned-down house, bankruptcy and the untimely death of member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes in 2002.
